We have several diving / snorkeling / apnea spots scattered throughout Faial, Pico and São Jorge.

One of our favorite places is Monte da Guia (Caldeirinhas Natural Reserve, Protected Landscape, Rede Natura 2000), a small hill in Horta. Around this dynamic hill we have about 10 dive spots, from caves, vertical walls, small wrecks and spots suitable for drift dives. From our Center it takes around 5-10 minutes by boat to reach the spots in Monte da Guia.

In the coastal zone there are frequent species such as the parrotfish (Sparisoma cretense), the triggerfish (Balistes carolinensis), the Turkish wrasse (Thalassoma turkey), large groupers (Epinephelus marginatus), barracudas (Sphyraena viridensis), the atlantic damselfish (Chromis limbata), morays, etc. And other dependents of the time: nudibranchs, slipper lobsters (Scyllarides latus), spiny lobsters (Palinurus elephas), among others.

Due to the weather instability in the archipelago spots are defined daily by our diving professionals. Before any activity we do a briefing about each place and its peculiarities, always taking care of the logistics on the boat and above all your safety.

For those that are not certified divers and would like to have a first contact with this unique experience, we offer scuba try outs. These includes a briefing introducing you to the world of diving, how it works as well as safety rules, always  accompanied by an Instructor.
