Princess Alice Bank is a undewater mountain 45 miles away from the coast of Faial, where from the month of July to September we have the opportunity to see the species Móbula Tarapacana one of the much appreciated Mantas! We occasionally spot schools of Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis), Barracudas (Sphyraena viridensis) and Almaco jack (Seriola Rivoliana).

In our Zodiac (7,60 meters) we take around 2h-2h30 to reach the Bank, the time can vary according to the weather conditions. Being these conditions unstable in the Azores we ask you to stay of at least 4 days so we can determine the best day for the trip.

Princess Alice Bank is considerably distant from the islands, propitious to strong currents and where we can quickly find ourselves at great depths. According to these conditions this is a spot for more experienced people therefore we ask all divers to do a check dive.

As in any other activity we respect the place we visit and its inhabitants, enjoying a passive observation of these hypnotizing animals!
